Who is Jesus?

 

Who is Jesus? The answer to this question changes lives now and after death. It affects how we see ourselves: our meaning, our purpose, and our place in the world. 

Jesus is the only Son of God. 

God sent him to show us what love is. 

Our prideful rebellion from God is seen in our broken minds, our broken bodies, our self-centeredness, and our broken world. And because the rebellion is part of who we are not just what we do, we can’t reconcile with God and be whole on our own. 

Jesus showed us the love that God has for all people by following the plan of the Father and dying on a cross (a roman torture device) for our rebellion. Everybody’s rebellion. And all of it. So we can be reconciled with God and be whole.

Jesus rose from the dead three days after his death, just like he said he would, proving that he is God’s Son and the Lord of all things--ever.

Jesus gives reconciliation freely to you. We don’t earn it and we don’t deserve it, but he gave himself to do what’s best for you, even when you didn’t want it–that’s love.

Being reconciled with God through Jesus changes everything for you, now and forever. Knowing and following him is the bedrock of being whole and having purpose.
